The Joker movie opens in theaters in just a few weeks, the upcoming IMAX release has it’s own poster that shows Joaquin Phoenix’s the Joker center stage.

 

A car is set ablaze behind the eponymous DC Comics villain, Phoenix has his signature, colorful suit and laughing in the foreground, it shows the chaos he will release on Gotham City.

The film opened to rave reviews at festivals in Venice and Toronto, with Phoenix’s performance as the villain.

 

Directed by Todd Phillips, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais and Shea Whigham. The film opens in theaters Oct. 4.
